For video files like MP4 and others, how can we separate the video and audio tracks to facilitate post-editing or audio extraction needs? When processing video materials daily, we often need to individually obtain the background music or recording from the video, keeping only the pure visuals for secondary creation. If we manually separate each video one by one, not only is the process time-consuming and lengthy, but when faced with a large number of video files, efficiency is extremely low. It is also prone to issues like audio-video desynchronization and format incompatibility. So, is there a stable and convenient way to batch separate the video and audio from MP4, MOV, and other video formats, allowing both files to be saved independently?
Here we introduce a practical little tool that can process multiple video files at once, precisely separating the video and audio. After separation, the original video's image quality and sound quality are fully preserved, while ensuring the duration of both remains consistent, providing great convenience for subsequent editing and use.
Why Separate Video and Audio from MP4 Videos?
Needs Separate Processing
The visuals and sound in a video are bound together; to modify them, you have to work on both at once. After separation, we can individually add filters and effects to the visuals, while separately reducing noise or adjusting volume for the sound. Both sides can be edited independently without affecting each other, much more flexible than working directly on the original video.
Replace the Video Audio Track
Sometimes videos recorded on-site are too noisy, or you want to switch to a different background music. After separating the audio and video, we can directly delete the original sound and replace it with a re-recorded voiceover or narration, then recombine them.
Extract Audio and Visual Assets
If we want to edit a video, we need to extract visuals from several videos and audio from elsewhere. By splitting each video's visuals and sound apart—visuals with visuals, sound with sound—we can freely combine them like building blocks, opening up more creative space.
