When organizing content in TXT documents, whether updating model names in product manuals or adjusting some identifiers in the text, we need to use the find and replace function to uniformly replace specific terms. While TXT, as the most universal plain text file, has excellent compatibility, it lacks batch modification and replacement functionality. When multiple pieces of content need to be changed in the text, it becomes very inconvenient, and performing replacements one at a time is time-consuming and risks missing some content.
This article shares an efficient batch replacement method to help you quickly update multiple text contents. Come and try it with me!
When do you need to replace text and numbers in TXT plain text?
Update version information
When a TXT file contains outdated times, dates, or version numbers, they need to be uniformly replaced with new information to ensure the document content remains up-to-date, preventing workflow errors caused by delayed updates.
Standardize formatting
Multiple Notepad files might use different date formats, such as 2025-10-10 or 10/10/2025. To maintain consistency, we can uniformly replace all dates with a single standard date format.
Replace sensitive information
When a company processes a batch of TXT documents containing customer names and contact details, it may need to batch replace this sensitive content to hide partial numbers or names.
