When sharing our own or company's photographic works, design materials, or product images, adding exclusive text watermarks—such as the photographer's name, brand name, or copyright statement—is the most direct and effective protection method. However, when faced with hundreds or thousands of images, if we open, type, adjust positions, and save each image one by one in Photoshop, this process can take a considerable amount of time per image, and it's difficult to ensure that the watermark size, font, and transparency remain consistent across every image.
This article explains how to use this small tool to batch-add uniform text watermarks to multiple image files at once, so that text with consistent font, size, color, and transparency appears at a specified position on every image. It can fill the entire image as a background texture, or be placed in a single location, without affecting the readability of the image subject while ensuring copyright ownership at all times.
When Should You Add Text Watermarks to Images?
To Prevent Unauthorized Use
When images are original works you have photographed or designed, many people worry about them being used or stolen by others without permission. Adding text watermarks, such as the author's name or company name, can provide a certain level of protection, and others can also see the original creator's information.
To Indicate Source and Copyright
When publishing product images, posters, or event pictures, some images require clear versioning. By adding a text watermark, you can clearly tell others which company or individual account the image originates from, reducing the likelihood of misrepresentation.
To Distinguish Sample Images from Final Versions
Sometimes images are just samples or for internal preview only and are not the final product. If shared directly, they might be mistaken for the official version. Adding a prominent text watermark to the image can inform others of the current version's purpose, avoiding misunderstandings. Once the final version is confirmed, the watermark can be removed before publishing the official version.
