When working with Word documents, we may need an unconventional layout where all text is bolded. This is very practical in certain scenarios, such as when printing on paper and the original text isn't clear enough—to ensure ink coverage and make every line of text stand out, we need to bold all the text in the Doc or Docx file. However, when we have dozens or even hundreds of Word documents, each with dozens of pages of text that need to be bolded, opening the files one by one, selecting all, and applying bold formatting is a repetitive task that can easily wear down one's patience.
Here's a method to batch-bold all text in a large number of Word documents—from body text to titles, numbers to punctuation marks—quickly turning them all bold. Bolded text appears heavier and delivers a significantly enhanced visual impact. Come and try it out with me!
Why Bold All Text in Doc/Docx Files?
Emphasize Key Content
Some Word documents may be used for presentations or printing. If the text is too thin, it can be hard to see from a distance. Bolding all the text in Word can make the content more eye-catching and clearer to read.
Enhance Visual Impact
In certain specific scenarios, we need the overall style of a Word document to look more impactful. After bolding all the text, the page will appear weightier and the visual effect more prominent. Although it's not entirely suitable for formal documents, for specific purposes, it can make information easier to notice.
Improve Print Quality
Some printing devices use lighter ink, causing standard fonts to print thin and unclear. Bolding all the text will make the printed words more distinct and less prone to blurring. Especially after multiple photocopies, bold text can maintain better readability.
