Large volumes of file content are stored daily in folders. Over time, as the number of files increases, file names can become repetitive, difficult to search, and hard to manage. Removing duplicate content from multiple file names allows us to intuitively browse and quickly locate the files we need through their names, making files more uniform and standardized. If the number of files is enormous, renaming them one by one reduces efficiency. The following introduces how to batch remove identical numbers, symbols, or text letters from the file names of multiple files.
1. Use Cases
Uniformly delete identical repeated numbers, letters, symbols, or keywords from the file names of a large batch of files.
For example: 2024 Document Description.docx, 2024 Document Description.txt, 2024 Document Description.pptx
You need to batch remove the "2024 " at the beginning of the file names.
After deletion, they become: Document Description.docx, Document Description.txt, Document Description.pptx
