When we open a PPT file, if it prompts for a password, it is because the PPT has set an open password protection, mainly to prevent others from viewing the file at will and to prevent information leakage. If the content in the file no longer needs protection and anyone is allowed to view it, the password protection can be removed. This article will teach you how to batch remove the open password of PPT, which is simple to operate and can be done in 3 steps!

Steps for Batch Removing PPT Password Protection
1. Open HeSoft Doc Batch Tool , select PowerPoint Tools → Remove PowerPoint Password Protection.

2. Add the PPT file(s) that need password protection removed. Choose one of three methods: Add File, Import Files from Folder, or drag and drop directly.

3. In the text box below the file open password, enter the previously set password.

4. After processing is complete, click the save location to view. All PPT files have had their open passwords removed and can be opened and viewed directly.

Note: This method is mainly designed to help you batch remove password protection from files. It must be performed on the premise that you know the open password; it is not password cracking. If you do not know the file password, or have already forgotten it, you will need to use other methods to open the file.
What to Do If You Forget the PPT Open Password
1. First, try to recall it; try your common password combinations, or check if you recorded the password in a notepad or memo. Also, when entering it, check if the letter case was accidentally switched.
2. If you really cannot remember the password, check if there is an unencrypted backup file on your computer. Some cloud storage services (such as OneDrive, Google Drive) also automatically save historical versions of files. Or, consider whether you sent the PPT to anyone else, and ask others if they have an unencrypted file.
3. If neither of the above methods works, you can only crack the PPT password using some cracking tools. It is important to remind you that you must download genuine software from official channels to avoid downloading viruses or trojans that threaten computer security.
