At work, we often deal with a pile of scattered PDF files—contracts, reports, or project documents—all disorganized. When we need to merge these files into a single coherent PDF document, the process of opening and merging them one by one is just not suitable for people like us who need to work efficiently. Not only is it easy to mess up the page order, but it may also lead to missing pages. If there are dozens of files that need to be arranged in a specific order, merging them is practically a test of patience and attention to detail. Is there a way to batch merge all the PDFs in a folder into a single document in one go?
Here's a method to batch merge all PDF files in a folder in ascending or descending order. The merged document will have continuous pages, and the layout, image quality, and fonts of each file are preserved intact, making it convenient for future reading and archiving. Let's operate and take a look together.
When to merge multiple PDFs into a single complete document?
Unified submission of materials
When submitting PDF file materials, it's usually necessary to hand over multiple documents together. Sending them individually is not only messy but also easy to miss files. If we merge multiple PDFs into a single complete document before submission, the content can be centralized, making it easier for the recipient to view and save.
Easier reading and printing
When document materials are scattered across multiple PDFs, viewing requires switching back and forth, which is very troublesome, especially when printing. You have to open multiple files separately, involving many steps and prone to errors. After merging multiple PDFs into a single file, you can read and print them all at once, with the content being more coherent compared to before.
Convenient long-term archiving
When organizing or backing up projects, it's hard to find things later if the files are too scattered. Merging related PDFs into a single file for storage makes the data structure clearer and easier to manage.
