After the initial operation and modification of files, version numbers are used to distinguish whether a file is a historical version or the latest version, preventing confusion and misuse of outdated files during team collaboration. If multiple files with version numbers in their names are mixed together, how can they be sorted and placed into corresponding folders? The following explains how to quickly classify and group a large number of files based on the first number that appears.
1. Use Cases
Organize and categorize files into corresponding folders based on the first number that appears in the file name.
For example: Three files with different version numbers, such as Project Plan_V1.docx, DesignDocument_V2.docx, and Final Report_V3.docx
After categorizing them by the first number that appears, they are placed into three newly created folders named 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
