The process of organizing a PowerPoint presentation often involves clearing out certain temporary markers, numbers, or annotations left over from earlier edits. These elements may be scattered across numerous text boxes, shapes, or notes on many slides, and they are usually not uniform, featuring subtle variations. If you rely on the familiar find function to manually delete them one by one, you might spend an hour just to clean up a 30-slide PPT file. This is inefficient and prone to visual fatigue, which can lead to missed text. Is there a way to quickly locate all text elements with similar character structures and delete them in bulk?
This article introduces how to batch clean similarly structured markers in PowerPoint files using only fuzzy search, ensuring file consistency and quickly improving our work efficiency and quality!
When should you use fuzzy search to delete keywords in PowerPoint presentations?
Quickly remove sensitive information
PPT templates downloaded online, or presentation drafts containing previous client information, may include customer names, phone numbers, and confidential codes. If you search and delete slide by slide, it wastes time and the final result may not be perfect. Using the fuzzy search function can quickly find these keywords, allowing for batch deletion without leaking any information.
Unify the PPT style
When creating PPT files for more vivid expression, we might copy text from the web and paste it into the PPT, but the font and color of the text may not match the PPT's style. If the PPT has too many pages, deleting them will waste a lot of time. Here we can use fuzzy search to find this stylistically inconsistent text and then delete it in batches, preventing the file from looking like a patchwork and making the PPT look more professional.
Delete redundant content to make the file cleaner
Some text in a PPT is added as notes for our own understanding, or obsolete information has been forgotten and not deleted. When presenting to the audience later, this information can actually distract attention. Fuzzy search can quickly find such text or numbers and then batch delete this content, making the PPT's key points stand out more and preventing the audience from being disturbed by useless information, thus helping them better understand the content of the PPT.
